Brrr! We have been hit by the cold weather! Saturday morning we woke up to a chill in the house and found that while the heat was working in our master bedroom (the addition with electric heat), the rest of the house was without heat. The temperature had dipped so low that the oil froze in the pipes! We ended up spending the day hiding out in the bedroom to stay warm, only venturing out to pad across the crunching frozen carpet in the remainder of the house when we needed to seek out food and drink. Mommy learned there is a reset button on the heater and was able to get the heat back on at 4:30 in the afternoon.

Last night, after William went down to sleep, Mommy looked out the window and saw snow had quickly blanketed the ground. When we awoke this morning, we had a winter wonderland outside. William got to do his first real exploration of snow, though his testing consisted of a gingerly patting of the snow on his foot.
When the snow started falling again in the afternoon, William again went outside to see the flakes drifting through the air and feel the frozen droplets land on his face. He was fascinated until he managed to crawl off of the towel he was sitting on and got his hands and feet thoroughly
