new school

William started his new school this year.  He is no longer at Trinity because he was selected in EHT's preschool lottery.  He gets two more days of school for half the price.  I am nervous that he may not progress as he would at Trinity since the children in his class reange from age three for speech help andmay not have been in school before.  At the same time, it is public school, so the teachers are certified in education unlike his teachers at Trinity.  He will also be prepared for the kindergarten program at EHT.  We'll see how it goes.

William was very nervous the first day of school, telling me that he liked his old school.  He cried when he was to go with his new teacher from the front lobby (we don't walk them to class) because he did not recognize her from open house.  The next day, I prepped him for her change of clothes, but the other class's teacher met them at the door, so again, he was scared because it was not his teacher.  He did fineWednesday, but yesterday he held back saying he was shy.  Today, he was scared again because the other teacher collected them at the door.  Poor guy!  I hope he gets used to it soon.  Being out all last week because we flew to SC did not allow him to continue to see his teacher and learn routines, but it has been five days now.
