William and I were working in his number and letter books today. We got to the letter F and William said it is like the word "free." Thinking he might be mispronouncing "three," I asked how he meant free. He said, "like buy one get one free." I laughed at the totally unexpected response. I asked where he heard that. He said, "I listen. I listen to everything. I listen to you and Daddy talk." Then he added that free is like a bad guy puts you in jail and then the good guy gets you out and makes you free.
