Kermit Crab

William, Charles, Austin, and Aly have been having fun looking at fiddler crabs along the edge of the marsh at Litchfield by the Sea.
The little black crabs scurry so fast, and in a group, so it looks like the ground is moving.

Tonight, we went for a walk on the beach, and sitting in the middle of the sand was a whole whelk shell. I picked it up and saw it was the home of a hermit crab. We brought it back to the condo for a little while to show the rest of the family. Daddy and I took it back to the beach to set it free, but first we let Willuam say good-bye. He quietly said, "Good-bye, Kermit Crab."
