May 22--There was a small baby who swallowed a tick...

William and Mommy spent the morning doing yardwork. Both slathered up in sunscreen and then worked to move river rocks from the backyard to the frontyard to edge a planting bed. William took a little nap while Mommy finished up, and then the two had lunch. Mommy was going to the first meeting of a new bunco group in the evening, so she took her shower while William was strapped in his bouncy seat. She let him out of his seat while she got dressed. As he started to crawl across the room to her, he stopped and spit up a little of his peaches from lunch. Mommy was surprised--he just doesn't do that anymore. When she went over to get a closer look at the puddle on the floor, she saw a dark circle. Looking closer still, she saw the circle had legs! William had eaten a tick!

Mommy then gave William his bath. After the sudsing, and during William's playtime in the bath, there was a knock at the door. Daddy was locked outside of the screen door. So Mommy quickly scooped William out of his bath and wrapped him in his towel to go downstairs to let Daddy in. As they were standing in the entryway, she felt a warm spot on the sleeve of her bathrobe--William had wet his towel and her arm!

Right before Jake arrived to babysit William, and right before Aunt Jamie was to pick Mommy up to go to the party, Lang Se wolfed down his seafood dinner. Eating too fast never sits well with him, and he spit it all back up--twice! So Mommy, in her party clothes, got to clean up the floors. Oh what an interesting day!

(Point of interest--Aunt Martha was at lunch with Bee Bee when Mommy called to make sure William would be okay after his insect snack. Aunt Martha started laughing as she recalled Mommy's cousin eating a roach when she was little. She survived. There is hope William will, too!)
