Oh, what a difference two years make! William's birthday is tomorrow, and I am in awe of all that he has learned. Just this week, Daddy called home from work while Mommy was upstairs getting dressed. William was downstairs where Mommy's cell phone was. He recognized Daddy's ringtone, answered the phone, and followed Daddy's instructions to take the phone to Mommy. Up the stairs he went until he arrived in Mommy's bedroom saying, "Daddy on phone." Sure enough, he handed the phone over, and Mommy and Daddy was just laughed at the great job he had done!
Today, Mommy was vacuuming the screened porch to get rid of the pollen for William's party on Saturday. William wanted to play in his Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, so Mommy propped the screen door open to let him play in the backyard. She looked over to see William climbing his rope ladder. He got to the top, but could not figure out how to get up to the clubhouse, so he climbed back down and ran to the other side of his payset. He then climbed the wooden ladder/rock wall. Mommy watched anxiously, waiting to run out to him if he fell, hoping for no broken bones, but William made it all the way up the the clubhouse! Woo hoo! He was then able to slide down the slide to get back to the ground so he could "fly" using his big boy swing. (He lays on his tummy in the swing to fly through the air.)
This evening, William went to the grocery store with Daddy to pick up taco fixin's. When he got back, he ran in the house, telling Mommy he had a frisbee. He was wearing his Mickey Mouse sunglasses and propped them up on top of his head. He is such a little man!
