Crying over caterpillars

Tonight, William remembered his very hungry caterpillar picture he made at school today. He asked me where it was, and I told him it is still at school. Suddenly he was crying with huge tears dripping down his face. He said the caterpillars and butterflies were crying because they were left alone at school. I told him they were ok because they are with their friends, but still crying, William said the teachers are gone and can't see them. I told him they were at school with all the other caterpillars and butterflies. Thankfully Daddy got home and took him out to see some planets. He was both so sweet and so pitiful with his completely sincere and innocent concern over his picture critters.
