Our summer adventures have begun! In addition to William experiencing the beach and ocean for the first time, the family has begun our little day trips. Last Friday, June 26, was the 10th anniversary of the Atlantic City Aquarium and the 10th birthday of Groman the sea turtle. The aquarium had free admission to everyone, little magnets for those who brought their turtle shaped flyer, birthday cake, t-shirts, and door prizes. We were too far back in line outside the aquarium to have birthday cake or to get a t-shirt on our own, but Mema, Aunt Jamie, Gabriel, and Samuel got William a t-shirt for us. We also got a magnet and a sticker--a new addition to William's scrap book (now to actually start putting that one together!).
Yesterday evening the family headed over to Medford to Johnson's Farm for their first Family Fun Night of the summer. We took a hayride to the peach orchard to pick peaches from the trees and then rode over to the blueberry fields to pick blueberries from their bushes. William loved it as he sniffed the peaches that he picked and clutched the little blueberries. We then rode back over the farm central for hamburgers and hotdogs before going into the adventure barnyard to see an animal show. William got to pet a chinchilla and a rabbit, and he got to see a sugar glider, hedgehog, a rat, and a cockatoo. We then went over to another section of the barnyard where William could look at the goats, sheep, pigs, chickens, and horses.
