William has had lots of fun at Vacation Bible School this summer. He had one week with our church's Bible School, a week off, and then another week at the Methodist church's Bible School. We studied Noah's Ark, Moses in the Bulrushes, Jonah and the Whale, Daniel in the Lion's Den, Shadrach, Meshach, and Adenego, and summer signs of Jesus' love--the legend of the sand dollar and the footprints poem. I'm not sure what the stories were for the other Bible school as William's answer to what did you learn today was "I don't know." I did learn about snack, though. The first day, he said they had rice krispie treats with jello on top. Hmmm. That sounds weird. The next day, he had graham crackers with icing and goldfish, but he didn't put the sprinklers on because he already at the cracker. Again, hmmm. I was given clarification when we had a playdate with another mom who helped with snacktime. The first day was sushi: rice krispie rolled in a fruit roll-up (not jello) with a swedish fish on top. The next day was an aquarium made of graham cracker with blue icing on top, fish in the "tank" and sprinkles for the gravel. So funny getting the translations! When they did their presentation of the songs, William was great! He knew the words and sang them out, and he danced with all of his movements. This morning, they presented before the church, so we went, and William stood with Gabriel and Samuel. He belted out those songs with such authority. Loved it!
