Happy Third Birthday!

William had a great third birthday!  His actual birthday was a week ago Friday, and it just so happened that it was the start of summer fun at his school--they wore bathing suits to school and played on a water slide!  I took the day off to get ready for William's party on Saturday and to be able to take cupcakes to school.  The kids loved them!  They were chocolate iced cupcakes with pirate flags on top.  I think three children ate the cupcakes while the rest just licked off the icing--William included.

Saturday, William had a pirate party with nine of his friends coming out to celebrate.  They decorated pirate hats; they played with pirate swords and eye patches, they played in William's transformed pirate ship; they carried around Captain Hook's crocodile; they ate treasure map cupcakes; and they got pirate gold coins to take home along with their pirate gear.  We also had the Pirates of the Carribean soundtrack with Peter Pan pirate songs and the theme song to the Disney ride playing in the background on a continuous loop.  William had fun!
